Overview

Pet Spirit is a pet store based in Barcelona and was created to maintain an ongoing commitment to the well-being and happiness of pets. The brand’s mission is to offer products and services that make a positive contribution to the lives of pets and their owners.
Its focus is to create positive experiences for animal lovers who are looking for quality products and specialised services for their pets.

Our Future Vision: What We Will Achieve

We will develop a personalized shopping experience where each customer receives tailored advice based on their pet’s specific needs. From choosing the right food to finding health products and accessories, we will ensure that all our recommendations are tailored to improve each pet’s quality of life.

Our aim is to create a thriving community of pet lovers. We will provide not only products, but also resources such as expert advice and social spaces for pet owners to connect. Through workshops, events and online forums, we will provide a support network for issues such as adoption, pet insurance and behaviour advice, fostering a stronger bond between pets and their owners.

We will continue to identify and explore underserved market niches. For example, we plan to introduce specialised clothing lines for breeds with unique body shapes, such as greyhounds (galgos) and dachshunds (teckels), and offer personalised accessories. These niche products will set us apart from larger stores and ensure that our customers can find unique, high quality items designed specifically for their pets.

Brand Identity

The Pet Spirit brand was created with the intention of conveying a friendly and fun image. The logo, composed of simple and cheerful dog and cat symbols, clearly communicates that the store specialises exclusively in products and services for these pets.
The logo was designed using the Gin Sans typeface. This was chosen to give the logo a sense of closeness and dynamism. This typographic approach strengthens the emotional connection with the pet lovers who visit the store.

Once the logo was created and the primary and secondary colours selected, a solid foundation was established for the development of other materials such as business cards, corporate flyers, promotional banners and website design. Pet Spirit’s visual identity aims to create a cohesive and welcoming experience, ensuring that every interaction with the brand is memorable and engaging.

The store will feature an events area where activities such as pet care talks, adoption days and training workshops will take place. These events will not only add value for customers, but also foster a sense of community, making Pet Spirit a place where pet lovers feel welcome and part of something special.

What I learned

  • Balancing what the users need and what the client wants is essential when delivering a real project. Clients are often limited by how they imagine their business, and it’s our job to help them see the real potential after conducting user research and user analysis.
  • Sometimes it’s not easy to implement research findings quickly when the business is in its early stages and clients have a different focus. However, they have taken these findings on board and will begin to implement them gradually.
